Picosecond ( one trillionth of a second) technology has revolutionized laser tattoo removal.  Traditional lasers used millisecond technology that created a great amount of heat which burned and blistered the skin and was ineffective in clearing tattoos completely. Outside of black ink, it was difficult to remove lighter colors as well. With picosecond technology, the ink is shattered into tiny particles, making it easier for the body to clear the tattoo. Also, all colors are able to be removed.
